Pursuant to Section 78 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and on amendments and supplementations to certain acts, on the basis of the proposal of Dean of the UPJŠ Faculty of Science and upon approval of the UPJŠ Scientific Council on 17 March 2023, the Rector of UPJŠ in Košice, prof. Pavol Sovák, awarded the honorary title “Professor Emeritus” to prof. Ing. Marián Antalík, DrSc. and prof. RNDr. Beňadik Šmajda, CSc. for their significant contributions in the field of science and education.
On 19 May 2023, Rector Sovák in the presence of Dean of UPJŠ Faculty of Science, assoc. prof. Roman Soták, handed over the appointment decree to the awarded professors and thanked them for their contribution in scientific and educational activities.
The university management wishes prof. Marián Antalík and prof. Beňadik Šmajda many more scientific, educational and personal accomplishments.
