Simona Gibalová, a fourth-year student of General Medicine, attended the Aurora Presidents’ Meeting in Brussels on 13-14 November 2025.
During the two days of negotiations, Simona and the ASC Vice-President Eliška Karasová attended the General Council meeting, where they presented the achievements of the Aurora Student Council in the first quarter of their leadership. They also had the opportunity to participate in an interesting and important discussion on the topic: From Policy to Influence: How University Networks/Alliances Navigate the Brussels Ecosystem with guests such as Olga Wessels, Head of the Brussels Office at ECIU (European Consortium of Innovative Universities) and board member for FOREU4ALL, Thomas Estermann, Director for Governance, Funding and Public Policy Development at the EUA, and Emanuel Gardan, Director of the COIMBRA Group Brussels Office.
She also participated in a preparatory meeting for a meeting with the EU Commissioner for Start-ups, Research and Innovation Ekaterina Zaharieva, which took place the following day. Participation in the conference created an important space for student representation in the higher structures of European alliances and an opportunity to share information about developments in higher education in Europe with the UPJŠ student community.
