On 12–14 January 2026, Aurora Student Council members Simona Gibalová and Katarína Ďurčianski attended the Aurora Student Conference 2026 held at the University of Iceland in Reykjavík, where they represented Pavol Jozef Šafárik University. It was the first in-person student event of the Aurora network in 2026.

The event brought together students from across Europe with the aim of strengthening intercultural cooperation, exchanging experiences, and promoting active student engagement within the Aurora alliance. The conference programme included expert workshops focused on intercultural communication, public speaking, and student engagement, as well as open discussions dedicated to future cooperation strategies within the network.

The conference also featured a meeting of the Aurora Student Council, during which key topics such as the Student Rights Charter, the Code of Ethics, and the development of student-led initiatives were discussed. The conference created space for sharing ideas, strengthening international cooperation, and reinforcing the position of students as active actors within the European academic community.
