Cooperation with the University of Strasbourg (UNISTRA) in France gained a new dimension with a working visit in June as part of the project Audit of the level of internationalisation and implementation of internationalisation projects of higher education institutions and research institutions, Activity 22.1 (Promotion of research laboratories of the Faculty of Arts abroad with the aim to acquire partners and build partnerships). The main objective of the series of meetings of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts of UPJŠ in Košice (FF UPJŠ), Prof. Mgr. Renáta Panocová, PhD., and the expert guarantor of the Language, Information and Communication Laboratory (LICOLAB) of FF UPJŠ, doc. Mgr. Renáta Gregová, PhD., was to finalize the preparation of the institutionalization of research cooperation. The result of the meetings is a Memorandum of Understanding, which is currently in the approval process at the Ministry of Education of France in accordance with the applicable UNISTRA procedures. The second important line of negotiations was aimed at a research visit by UNISTRA doctoral student Emma Tasset to LICOLAB at FF UPJŠ. The expert guarantor of LICOLAB, doc. Mgr. Renáta Gregová, PhD., discussed specific possibilities for conducting experimental research at LICOLAB. The institutionalization of cooperation and the sustainability of providing LICOLAB’s research infrastructure for experimental analyses by UNISTRA doctoral students and researchers are key to raising the research profile at both universities.
