The Aurora Symposium on Global Citizenship will take place from 27 to 29 May 2026 at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, bringing together scholars, educators, students, and societal partners from across the Aurora Alliance network and beyond. The Symposium provides a collaborative platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and co-creation, focusing on the role of higher education in addressing pressing global challenges.
It reflects Aurora’s mission to foster social responsibility, inclusivity, sustainability, and active citizenship, positioning universities as key actors in shaping resilient and equitable societies.
Participants will engage in a dynamic and interdisciplinary programme combining academic research, policy dialogue, and practice-based approaches.
The event emphasises interaction, reflection, and the co-development of innovative solutions to complex societal issues.
