Research is much more than publications and citation counts. It also includes collaboration, mentoring, teaching, community engagement, Open Science practices, and many other contributions that are often difficult to capture in traditional research information systems. As research assessment evolves, there is growing interest in ways to represent research activities more fairly, broadly, and meaningfully.

Aurora Universities are organising a series of online workshops on different aspects of Open Science to support researchers and research support staff in navigating this evolving landscape. This session will be delivered by OpenAIRE, an Open Science infrastructure and service provider.

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to MyResearchFolio, a service designed to help researchers present a richer and more contextualised view of their work. The session will explore how MyResearchFolio can support the visibility of diverse research contributions beyond conventional metrics, helping researchers build a more complete profile of their academic activities and achievements. A short demo and discussion will also show how the service works in practice and how it can support more responsible and inclusive approaches to research assessment.

Come and discover how MyResearchFolio can help you present your research story beyond metrics.

What is this workshop about?

In this online session, we will discuss:

  • why research cannot be fully represented by metrics alone
  • what MyResearchFolio is and what it is designed for
  • how it helps showcase a broader range of research activities and contributions

A short demo of the service will also be included to illustrate its main features and open discussion on its potential use for researchers and institutions.

Who should attend?
This event series brings together researchers and research support staff from all subject areas. Early career researchers, as well as experienced academics, are welcome to attend.
