The Rector of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice prof. RNDr. Pavol Sovák, CSc., the Vice-Rector for Higher Education prof. Ing. M. Mareková, CSc., the head of the Institute of Physical Education and Sport Mgr. A. Buková, PhD, the chancellor Mgr. Adriana Sabolová, and the spokeswoman of the university Mgr. M. Hrehová, PhD. received the successful participants of the Winter Universiade on Tuesday in March 15, 2016. The students of our university were successful in the individual and in the team sports as well, and the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University has been placed as 2nd in the overall ranking of the Slovak universities. The rector of the university appreciated the students’ and the graduates’ outstanding representation and propagation of our university.
