The latest URAP 2015-2016 university ranking outcomes

According to the latest URAP 2015-2016 university ranking (University Ranking and Academic Performance) results the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice was placed as 2^nd in Slovakia based on its achievements in science that are registered in the Web of Science database. Within the European region the university occupies the 415^th place, and the 1003^rd position in the world ranking. The evaluation concentrated on 2500 universities from around the world, while this number corresponds to approximately 10% of the higher education institutions in the world (see www.urapcenter.org.).  Our university has improved its position when compared to its previous achievements, confirming by this the importance of science in the work of its staff and students, and its traditional orientation towards research as well.
