Rector of UPJŠ in Košice, Professor Daniel Pella, and Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Assoc. Professor Silvia Ručinská, received on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Slovakia, Rudolf Jindrák.
The topics of the meeting were the quality of higher education in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, the outflow of talented students from Slovakia to other countries and the potential of creating opportunities for Czech students to study at Slovak universities. The discussion highlighted the importance of a functional ecosystem for universities and the possibilities of cooperation between Czech and Slovak universities and institutions. An important part of the discussion was the topic related to the planned meeting of the Czech-Slovak Commission of Historians and the scientific conference, which should take place at the UPJŠ Faculty of Arts.
