The HORIZON EUROPE workshop was held on 15 October 2025 and was dedicated to introducing the fundamentals of the Horizon Europe Framework Programme, which represents the main EU instrument for supporting research and innovation.
In the first part of the presentation, the structure of the Horizon Europe Framework Programme and basic information about it were explained. In the second part, participants learned how to properly read calls and specific topic texts, and what to focus on when interpreting them. The programme also included an introduction to the Work Programme and an explanation of the importance of key words when selecting relevant topics.
The importance of reading calls carefully and understanding their content was emphasized. The presentation also demonstrated, in a practical way, how and where to search for calls and how to navigate efficiently on the official website of the European Commission – Funding & Tenders Portal. The workshop concluded with a fruitful discussion on this framework programme.
The workshop was organized as part of the project Audit of the level of internationalisation and implementation of internationalisation projects of higher education institutions and research institutions (Activity 2.2 – In-house trainings and trainings with external facilitators and invited experts regarding project schemes, project writing and project management skills).
