The Mayor of Košice, Ing. Jaroslav Polaček, DPA, together with Deputy Mayor Mgr. Marcel Gibód and Deputy Mayor Mgr. Lucia Gurbáľová, welcomed the rectors of Košice universities and directors of Košice hospitals to the Historic Town Hall of Košice on January 22, 2026. UPJŠ in Košice was represented by Rector Prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD. and Quaestor PhDr. Patrik Géci. During the meeting, those present discussed the further development of cooperation between the city, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities.
