Dear colleagues, dear students, esteemed ladies,
International Women’s Day is an annual opportunity to express our deep admiration and gratitude to you. When I look at our university, I see a fascinating mosaic of female strength, integrity, and talent. It is you, respected scientists and researchers, who are pushing the boundaries of knowledge. It is you, teachers, who are shaping future generations with your expertise and understanding. It is also you, our colleagues, who work selflessly in administration and other departments, ensuring the professional functioning of our institution. And finally, it is you, dear students and doctoral candidates, whose energy and curiosity will become the foundation of the next generation that will change this country and perhaps even the world.
Women at our university today hold countless roles – from visionary decisions in management to supporting students. Often, alongside all this, you also manage your roles as partners, mothers, and daughters with incredible ease. If I were to compare our academic community to a blooming garden, it would be filled with many beautiful roses. A rose is not only a symbol of beauty, but also of strength and resilience. Its petals represent your empathy and gentleness, while its strong stem and thorns represent your unbreakable will and professionalism.
On behalf of the entire university management, allow me to wish you good health, inner peace, and joy from every success you achieve on this special day. May your celebration be filled with the respect you deserve, not only today, but throughout the year.
Happy International Women’s Day!
Respectfully yours,
Daniel Pella
