Journaliste – Studio company awarded the prize within the Scientist of the Year 2011 competition in the category SR Young Researcher of 2011 to RNDr. Jaromír Mikeš, PhD. , (Institute of Biology and Ecology).
Dr. Mikeš was awarded the prize for clarification of some aspects of hypericin-mediated photodynamic therapy on cellular level anticancer effects, which registered considerable response in international scientific community, for significant contribution to implementation of analytical cytometry methods and contribution to scientific and research education of UPJŠ Faculty of Science students.
The award-giving ceremony took place on March 19, 2012 at 10 am in the auditorium of St. Elizabeth University of Health and Social Science in Bratislava.
