1minút, 6sekúnd

In May 2025, a team composed of representatives from the Faculty of Law and the Lifelong Learning Centre and Projects Support at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (UPJŠ) participated in the SMI2G Security Mission Information & Innovation Group 2025 Brokerage Event (6–7 May) in Paris. The purpose of the event was to establish partnerships and consortia for upcoming projects to be submitted under the open calls of Cluster 3 of the Horizon Europe programme. The two-day programme consisted of panel discussions and pitch presentations by event participants addressing specific Cluster 3 calls, which provided an opportunity for mutual discussions on cooperation, experience and insights on the relevant topic after each panel. During the two days, the team succeeded in reaching preliminary agreements on potential cooperation with 11 partners.

Upon returning from the brokerage event, the acquired contacts and knowledge were disseminated within UPJŠ. Discussions were held at the Department of Criminal Law, the Department of Commercial and Business Law, and at the Lifelong Learning Centre and Projects Support as part of the continuous development of potential international partnerships.

Participation in SMI2G was funded under the project Audit of the level of internationalisation and implementation of internationalisation projects of higher education institutions and research institutions, Activity 2.1 – International trips aiming to promote the university/faculties and to motivate the establishment of partnerships/consortia.
