Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice presented at the Profesia days Košice 2025 job fair, which took place from October 28 to 29, 2025, at Kulturpark in Košice, as an institution preparing many highly qualified graduates for the labour market. These are graduates of its faculties – Medicine, Science, Law, Public Administration, Arts, and also the Institute of Physical Education and Sport at UPJŠ in Košice.
The main topics of Profesia Days Košice 2025 were artificial intelligence, digital transformation, wellbeing, efficiency, satisfaction, flexibility, and talent development.
The ceremonial opening of the event was attended by Dr. h. c. prof. Mgr. Slávka Tomaščíková, PhD., Vice-Rector for International Relations, who said in her speech that “UPJŠ graduates are not only employees with a high-quality education, but also employers – for example, doctors in private clinics, lawyers in private law firms, directors of private language schools, and experts in many other professions, where they create job opportunities for other employees.”
UPJŠ employs approximately 1,800 people in various positions, including academic and research staff, laboratory technicians, and administrative and technical staff.
The university offers a wide range of study options within more than 250 accredited bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral study programs, many of which are also offered in English, German, and French. In addition, it also offers the opportunity to obtain double degrees in cooperation with foreign partner universities.
The reputation of our university is also evidenced by its position in several international rankings, in which it has long maintained its position among the three best-rated universities in Slovakia.
