Dr. h. c. prof. Mgr. Slávka Tomaščíková, PhD., the Vice-Rector for International Relations and prof. h. c. doc. JUDr. Mária Bujňáková, CSc, the University Ombudswoman, received a delegation of judges from Debrecen, Hungary, at the Rector’s Office in the morning of Tuesday, 13 May 2025.
After a tour of the Historical Auditorium, the guests moved to a meeting room, where they discussed the education of lawyers in Hungary and Slovakia. The guests compared the links between academia and the courts in the study programmes at different study levels. The aim of the visit was to discuss the possibilities of expanding the existing cooperation between the University of Debrecen and Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in the field of law.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Vágó Zsolt, the President of the Debrecen County Court, signed the UPJŠ chronicle.
