On 13–14 October 2025, workshop and discussion with an international expert from San Diego took place in the Minerva Building. Samuel Tsoi, who serves as Director of Leadership and Professional Development at one of the institutes of the University of San Diego, designs and leads programs focused on leadership development and capacity building.
During his two-day visit, he conducted the Leadership in Project Management workshop for university managers, where he shared his experience in leading and developing diverse projects carried out throughout his career and presented various leadership approaches. The workshop The Life of an Early Stage Researcher in the USA was intended for PhD students and was attended by doctoral candidates from all UPJŠ faculties.
The visit of the international expert was supported by the project Audit of the level of internationalisation and implementation of internationalisation projects of higher education institutions and research institutions (Activity 2.2 – In-house trainings and trainings with external facilitators and invited experts regarding project schemes, project writing and project management skills).
