On 8th October 2007, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Rector of P. J. Šafárik University in Košice prof. MUDr. Ladislav Mirossay, Dr.Sc, a ceremonial assembly of the academic community of P. J. Šafárik University in Košice took place in the Palace of Art premises.
The attendance at the ceremonial event was accepted by: Prof. F.Schlosser – on behalf of the Minister of Education, the Chairman of Košice autonomous region – JUDr. Z. Trebuĺa, the Mayor of Košice – Ing. F. Knapík, the rectors and deans of Slovak Universities, the deans of P. J. Šafárik University in Košice, the former rectors of P. J. Šafárik University in Košice, His Excellency Mons. A. Tkáč, His Excellency Alderman Milan, the Chairman of Academic Senate of P. J. Šafárik University in Košice, the members of Academic Senates of P. J. Šafárik University in Košice, the members of Scientific Boards of P. J. Šafárik University in Košice, the members of the Board of Trustees of P.J. Šafárik University in Košice and other important representatives of industry, cultured institutes, social and public sector as well as the employees and students of our University.
His Magnificence prof. L. Mirossay introduced newly appointed Vice-Rectors of P. J. Šafárik University in Košice and gave them insignia after a solemn rector˘s promise. A Vice-Rector for Higher Education is doc. PhDr. Ján Ferjenčík, PhD., a Vice-Rector for International Relations and Legislation is prof. JUDr. Alexander Bröstl, PhD., a Vice-Rector for Development and Information Technologies is doc. RNDr. Ján Imrich, PhD., a Vice-Rector for Research is prof. RNDr. Juraj Černák, PhD. and a Vice-Rector for External Relations is prof. MUDr. Juraj Kovaľ, PhD.
