The Memorial Day of Košice was held together with awards of respected citizens of Košice in the City Hall on May 7th 2015. Our university had a strong representation among the honored persons.
The Košice City Award was awarded to Doc. MUDr. Igor Andrašina, CSc. and prof. MUDr. Jozef Kafka, DrSc. from Faculty of Medicine and also prof. PaedDr. Štefan Šutaj, DrSc. from Faculty of Arts. The Košice City Mayor Award was awarded to the rector prof. MUDr. Ladislav Mirossay, DrSc., vice-rector prof. RNDr. Juraj Černák, CSc., employee of MF prof. MUDr. Štefan Koval, PhD. and the team of Haematology and Oncohaematology Clinic MF UPJŠ and UHLP in Košice.
