The President of the Slovak Republic, Ivan Gašparovič, pursuant to Article 102 par. 1 (h) of the Slovak Constitution appointed 27 new university professors in the Presidential Palace on 5th March 2013. Dušan Čaplovič, Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, Peter Plavčan, General Director of Higher Education Division, Libor Vozár, President of the Slovak Rectors´ Conference, Viktor Smieško, the chairman of the Council of Universities of the Slovak Republic and Ľubor Fischer, the chairman of the Accreditation Commission were present at the ceremonial occasion.
Among the newly appointed professors to whom the decrees were given by the highest senior official, there was the personality of the Faculty of Medicine, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. We warmly congratulate him on this special occasion:
