2025: A year of trust, decisions, and cooperation at TIP-UPJŠ

2minút, 11sekúnd

The UPJŠ Technology Innovation Park (TIP-UPJŠ) has had a successful year full of research work and useful meetings that are moving it forward. The workplace is based on linking research with practice, creating space for dialogue, and supporting solutions that have a real social and technological impact.

In 2025, it was confirmed once again that real progress occurs where expertise meets trust and a willingness to take responsibility.

Key moments of the year included:

  • The 72nd Czech-Slovak Pharmacological Days, which once again confirmed the power of regional scientific cooperation
  • The APBC – Advanced Protein Biotechnology Consortium project, focused on the development of advanced biotechnologies
  • Grade UP discussions with young scientists, creating space for open dialogue and new perspectives
  • SlovakiaTech, a platform for innovation and technological development
  • Forbes Business Fest Slovakia and Business Fest Košice, connecting the academic environment with business
  • Dozens of TIP-UPJŠ project and technology negotiations, often less visible but crucial for long-term results
  • Active support of doc. RNDr. Michal Goga, PhD. in preparing his expedition to Antarctica in January 2026, as an example of support for exceptional initiatives

According to RNDr. Andrej Miroššay, PhD., director of TIP-UPJŠ, in addition to these activities, a number of other meetings took place at home and abroad in cooperation with Business Košice – meetings that played a key role in forming partnerships and strategic decisions.

For me, 2025 was a year of intense discussions with scientists, discussions with partners, searching for solutions and steps that do not arise overnight, but from understanding, continuous work, and responsibility. This is exactly the daily reality at the UPJŠ Technology and Innovation Park, for which I would like to thank my colleagues and our partners.

I would like to mention Prof. RNDr. Erik Sedlák, DrSc., Mgr. Dušan Rostáš, PhD., Mgr. Slavomíra Hrabovská, Ing. Michaela Kendrová, Ing. Zuzana Svoreňová, researchers RNDr. Michal Nemergut, PhD., Mgr. Mária Tomková, PhD., RNDr. Veronika Huntošová, PhD., Mgr. Ľuboš Ambra, PhD., as well as our partners – Telegrafia – Warning Systems, RISTRE®, CARINTHIA, Be Lenka, Deutsche Telekom Global Business, Mgr. Martin Labaš, and Jozef Borodáč, whom I thank for their trust and cooperation.

I am pleased that TIP-UPJŠ – “Where ideas become solutions” is not just a slogan, but everyday practice. I believe that real progress does not come from titles or positions, but from decisions, responsibility, and trust in people, whom we give space to grow and deliver results. These are the values on which the work of TIP-UPJŠ is based – today and in the future,” said RNDr. Andrej Miroššay, PhD.

More information about the activities and projects of the workplace can be found on the TIP-UPJŠ website.
