On Tuesday, September 11, 2018, a meeting at the highest level was held at the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic. Within the frames of this gathering our republic became part of the transnational pan-European organization and consortium of clinical studies – ECRIN. By this SLOVACRIN was also established, and it will be coordinated by the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice.

The aim of the SLOVACRIN is to establish a national research infrastructure, and to strengthen its contacts with an emphasis on the international cooperation of our experts within clinical studies and biomedical research. The resulting effect will also be a significant improvement in the patients’ access to innovative therapies and medicines in Slovakia. This will be especially helpful for those patients, whose standard treatment had failed, and by the clinical research they can receive a treatment, to which their body can respond positively and save their lives,” explained the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice and a representative of the SLVOACRIN prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD.
