The UPJŠ Moved up in the Ranking of the 500 Best Universities in Europe!

In the latest ranking of universities URAP 2014-2015  (University Ranking by Academic Performance) published on 12.11.2014 based on scientific productivity indexed by the Web of Science the UPJŠ in Košice was ranked on the 3^rd place in Slovakia (the Comenius University in Bratislava and the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava were ranked on the first and second places respectively), on the 442^nd place in Europe, and on the 1072^nd place in the world within 2500 ranked world universities (URAP covers approximately 10 % of all higher education institutions in the world) (www.urapcenter.org). There are only two other Slovak universities that were ranked – Technical University in Košice (ranked 1597^th in the world) and the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra (ranked 1956^th in the world). 

The UPJŠ moved up from last year’s 480^th in Europe and 1232^nd in the world positions which proves the growing status of research in the work of creative staff and students of the UPJŠ and also the long-lasting research orientation of the University.
