With a rating of 68.2 points, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (UPJŠ) is ranked 1435th by the Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR) for 2023. In Slovakia, UPJŠ is ranked 2nd out of four evaluated universities: Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU) and Technical University of Košice (TUKE). In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, we are ranked 10th out of 15 evaluated universities and in the V4 countries in the 40th place out of 62 universities. This year, 20,531 higher education institutions from all over the world were evaluated, only 2,000 of the highest rated were included in the final ranking. UPJŠ thereby is among the top 7% of the world’s universities.
The ranking is compiled on the basis of seven indicators grouped into four areas:
