Algorithms and Inclusion: Labour Law in the Age of Technological and Social Transformation

11. - 12. September 2025
Faculty of Law

The conference brings together two important topics – promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace while using algorithmic employee management.

The conference will feature presentations by members of both research teams with the main aim of analysing the legal aspects of implementing diversity and inclusion and exploring the synergy between technology and inclusion. The aim of the conference is to present legal mechanisms that support the creation of diverse and inclusive workplaces, including an analysis of the Slovak and European legal framework. It also aims to identify the challenges of technology management and discuss how algorithmic management of employees can promote diversity and inclusion, for example by eliminating discrimination, promoting equal opportunities, identifying inequalities in the workplace, and ensuring transparency and personalisation of employee career development plans. Sharing examples of good practice and presenting successful implementation of diversity, inclusion and algorithmic management in different organisations are key to the development of modern workplaces.

The Algorithms and Inclusion conference will take place on 11–12 September 2025 at Salamandra Resort & Hotel**** Horný Hodrušský tajch, 966 61 Hodruša Hámre. Conference languages: Slovak, Czech, English.

The conference is organised as part of the implementation of the results of VEGA project No. 1/0291/23 Legislative challenges for labor law in the creation of diverse and inclusive workplaces and VEGA project No. 1/0013/23 European mimicry of algorithmic management of the content of the labour relationship in Slovak legislation as a result of the transposition of sources of European employment law and the revised application of the GDPR.
