Our alma mater was awarded a Commemorative Medal on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Comenius University in Bratislava

The Rector of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik Univeristy in Košice prof. RNDr. Pavol Sovák, CSc. attended the ceremonial assembly of the academic community of the Comenius University in Bratislava on Thursday, June 27, 2019, where he took over a Commemorative Medal from the Rector of the Comenius University in Bratislava prof. JUDr. Marek Števček, PhD. that was awarded to the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice on the occasion of the 100^th anniversary of the establishment of the Comenius University in Bratislava for the productive cooperation, above-standard relationships, development of science, education and assistance in the progress of the Comenius University in Bratislava. The celebrations of the centenary of the first and largest Slovak university took place with the participation of the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová, the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini and other valued guests, and the program also included the introduction of a commemorative silver collector’s coin and postage stamp to mark the anniversary of the university’s establishment.
