On 12 November 2025, the Historical Aula of the UPJŠ Rectorate hosted employees and students on an inspiring event focused on Slovaks working at Asian universities and explored scholarship options offered by top institutions throughout the region. As part of the presentation of the Central European Institute of Asian Studies (CEIAS) project, its program director Richard Turcsányi introduced a database where UPJŠ employees and students can find contacts for their planned work and study stays in Asia, significantly improving their chances of obtaining scholarships.
Speakers shared their firsthand experiences from universities in Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan, including:

This event, initiated by Dr. Dubóczi from the Department of Political Science and supported by activities launched within the “Promotion of Higher Education Abroad” project under the leadership of Prof. Dr. h. c. Mgr. Slávka Tomaščíková, PhD., Vice-Rector, marks another step in strengthening UPJŠ’s long-term engagement in the Asian region.
