In the competitive year of collegiate league 2012-2013 in women’s basketball, the UPJŠ team won and advanced to the Slovak University Championship.
On 28 – 29 May 2013, on the premises of B. Němcova gym in Košice, the Slovak Republic Championship was held. The UPJŠ team had gone through the whole tournament without hesitation and won “Champion of Slovak Universities” title for the year 2013 under the guidance of doc. PhDr. Ivan Šulc, CSc. and Ing. Ladislav Šosták. The second place was taken by the team from central Slovakia and third place was taken by the team from Bratislava. The champion title has been acquired by the following players of UPJŠ in Košice:
