UPJŠ concluded a Framework Agreement on mutual cooperation with AGEL SK

The Framework Agreement on mutual cooperation was concluded on 1 March 2023 at the premises of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, represented by its Rector, prof. RNDr. Pavol Sovák, CSc., Dean of the UPJŠ Faculty of Medicine, prof. MUDr. Peter Jarčuška, PhD., Director of the AGEL Educational, Scientific and Research Institute (VVVI), MUDr. Jozef Pribula, PhD., MBA, and Director of the Project Management Department and the AGEL Department of Grant Projects , Mgr. Andrej Šlosár, MPH., in order to specify the main areas and forms of cooperation between AGEL SK, VVVI AGEL and UPJŠ in Košice.

The parties agreed on a joint approach to ensure cooperation in the areas of science, research and education, as well as in the equally important area of linking theory with practice to improve the quality of the educational process and scientific research activities in close connection with the most modern scientific and research knowledge or educational methods. The cooperation of the institutions will take place at the level of implementation of professional activities of students and employees of UPJŠ in the fields corresponding to the activities carried out in the AGEL medical facilities.

The signing of the agreement has created a framework for active cooperation between AGEL, affiliated companies belonging to the AGEL SK group and UPJŠ in Košice at the level of application of knowledge of science and research in solving current and conceptual tasks, improving the quality of education of students of the university and professional training of employees. The aim of the cooperation is to coordinate research activities for the mutual benefit, to use the results of joint research activities in the field of higher education, and to share the material, technical and spatial resources of the Parties.

“We are very pleased to conclude the framework cooperation agreement, as AGEL provides services not only in the field of health care, but it also plays an important role in the areas of research and development in the natural, technical, social and human sciences. The agreement specifies the cooperation in the field of research, development and also in the field of education. We consider the joint approach in research to be very important also in relation to the Operational Programme Slovakia,” said the Rector of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, prof.
