The International Relations Office at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice organized a Erasmus Contact Day event for outgoing Erasmus+ students. The event was held on Monday, April 24, 2023, in the Minerva building of the Faculty of Arts campus. The attendance reached approximately 70 students.
During the meeting, the attendees received important information related to study mobilities and traineeships implemented within the Erasmus+ programme. Smith Donkor joined us via online call in order to present the ErasmusPlay platform, which harbours verified accommodation offers for students. Our Institutional Coordinator, dr. Mária Vasiľová introduced the emerging Erasmus Alumni Club, the members of which are eager to help the prospective applicants with issues related to the implementation of their mobilities.
Afterwards, two incoming Erasmus+ students – Julie from the University of Strasbourg, France, and Federica from the Catholic University of Sacred Heart, Italy, presented their experiences with mobilities and information on their home universities and countries. They were followed by two members of the Erasmus Alumni Club – Dáša from the Faculty of Arts who spent her mobility at the University of Agder, Norway, and Martina from the Faculty of Medicine who partake in a mobility to the University of Zaragoza, Spain. Erasmus Student Network was represented by Célia from France, who also shared her experience with Erasmus+ in a feel-good presentation.
The event was concluded with a quiz, which tested the participants’ knowledge on the mobility programme. The winners – Dávid, Martina, and Bianka, received UPJŠ t-shirts, with which they can proudly represent our university.
