Tak ako po minulé roky, aj tentoraz organizovala Katedra anglistiky a amerikanistiky Filozofickej fakulty UPJŠ v Košiciach počas dvoch týždňov podujatie Maturitné týždne otvorených dverí. Na podujatí si mohli študenti z rôznych košických stredných škôl rozšíriť svoje obzory ohľadom štúdia na vysokej škole. Predstavili sme im študijné programy ponúkané na našej katedre či informácie o programe Erasmus+ a stážach, ktoré môžu počas štúdia absolvovať. Vďaka kvízu mali možnosť otestovať si znalosti angličtiny a tiež sme im predstavili možnosti štúdia francúzštiny na našej katedre. Študenti si tiež mohli vyskúšať tlmočenie v špecializovanom laboratóriu a absolvovali prehliadku areálu.
Zúčastneným školám a študentom ďakujeme, že s nami strávili príjemné dopoludnia, a dúfame, že neformálna a priateľská atmosféra tohto podujatia presvedčila mnohých, aby zvážili štúdium na KAA FF UPJŠ.
As during previous years, the Department of British and American Studies FF UPJŠ organised an event called Maturitné týždne otvorených dverí. This event provided students of various high schools in Košice with an opportunity to find out more about university studies and our department. Students were presented with an overview of study programmes provided, they were provided with information about Erasmus programmes and internships, which they can attend during their studies, they had an opportunity to test their knowledge of English via a quiz and they were also informed about their options regarding the study of the French language at our department. Aside from these presentations, students had an opportunity to try out interpretation in our simultaneous interpretation laboratory and were provided with guided tour of our campus.
We would like to thank everyone who attended this event, and we hope that friendly and informal atmosphere convinced many students to come study at the BAS FF UPJŠ.
